Mahesh Telecom, an offline distributor and trusted source for smartphone leaks, has revealed the price of the upcoming Honor smartphones ahead of their official India launch scheduled for next week.

According to the source, Huawei will bring not one but two Honor smartphones – Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart – to India, priced at 29,999 INR and 19,999 INR respectively. The stocks for the same will also be available at offline stores.

Honor was essentially launched as an online-only sub-brand but later ventured into offline territory with Honor 6 (almost a year after its launch). This is perhaps the first time that an Honor phone will be pushed through the offline retail chains from the launch day itself.

The Honor 8 adopts the prevailing metal-sandwiched-between-2.5D-glass design and will be available in Sapphire Blue, Pearl White and Midnight Black colors. It’s a compact phone with a 5.2-inch display (Full HD), powered by 16nm octa-core Kirin 950 chip that has 4 Cortex A72 ticking at 2.3GHz in power cluster and 4 regular 1.8GHz Cortex A53 cores in performance cluster. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

On the rear, the Honor 8 brandishes two 12MP camera sensors (Just like the P9) with dual ISPs. On the front, an 8MP snapper will take care of all your selfie needs.

Other notable hardware features include Fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and a 3000mAh battery.

Nothing much has been revealed about the comparatively lower cost Honor 8 variant, but we’d guess it comes with slightly trimmed down hardware and a single rear camera.
