Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20, Honor 20i launched in India: Price, Specs and Availability

Honor 20 series comprising three phones viz. Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20 and Honor 20i (review) has launched in India. The creme la de creme of the trio is Honor 20 Pro, ensued by Honor 20 and finally the Honor 20i. The former two made their global debut back in May while the 20i was released in April. In India, the phones were unfurled with exciting price tags and offers.

Honor 20 Pro peculiarities

This is the cream of the crop, hence the Pro designation. Upfront, you get a 6.26-inch Full HD+ 3D curved glass display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, that delivers a 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. Honor 20 Pro flaunts Phantom Blue, Phantom Black colors.

Moving to the area where it really shines, the cameras.

Honor 20 Pro

The rear features a quadrangle panel comprising the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, accompanied by a 16MP super wide 117-degree angle sensor, an 8MP telephoto 3x lossless optical zoom sensor and 5x hybrid zoom and 30x digital zoom capability and finally, a 2MP macro lens. Upfront, you could click selfies using its 32MP selfie camera.

The camera is equipped with features such as AI Ultra Clarity Mode, AIS Super Night Mode, 4K video recording. It has received 111 scores in DXOMark testing which is a testament of its imaging prowess.

Honor 20 Pro

Under the hood, Honor 20 Pro is engined by the company’s in-house Kirin 980 SoC, aided by GPU Turbo 3.0 and Graphene Cooling Sheet technology for games and heavy graphics intensive processes. The phone is fueled by a 4000mAh battery that comes with 22.5W Honor Super Charge support that claims to charge 50 percent of the battery in 30 minutes. Other features include Virtual 9.1 Surround Sound technology, and comes with dual microphones, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Honor 20 highlights

Honor 20 which swaps the telephoto sensor of Pro variant with a 2MP Depth Assist sensor that has 1.75um pixel size and f/2.4 aperture size. The primary sensor has an f/1.8 aperture. The battery drops to a 3750mAh size. The memory options also differ. Rest everything remains the same as the Pro variant. So, you could pick this one apart from it’s colors-Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Icelandic white.

Honor 20i highlights

Honor 20i which was launched back in April in Russia also landed in London. It is steered by Kirin 710 SoC, backed by a smaller 3,400mAh battery with a 10W fast charger. It sticks to a waterdrop notch on a smaller 6.21 display. Though the upfront shooter remains the same, the back features only triple cameras. They are a 24MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultrawide secondary sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor.

It is available in Phantom Blue, Phantom Red, Magic Night Black colors. Other changes include a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack a hybrid microSD storage expansion up to 1TB and EMUI 9 skin (Honor 20 Pro and Honor 20 doesn’t have the last three features).

Honor 20 Series and Honor Pad Price, Availability and Launch Offers

Honor 20 Pro 8GB variant is priced at Rs. 39,999. As a launch offer, you get 90 percent buyback guarantee for 90 days. Well, the availability details are not revealed yet. The phone would come out soon via Flipkart.

Honor 20 is priced at Rs. 32,999 and will be on Flipkart shelves starting June 25 and finally, the Honor 20i would be available from June 18 for a price tag of Rs. 14,999.

You could avail No cost EMI starting at Rs. 5500 per month. There is Jio package bundled which offers up to 2.2TB data and Rs. 2200 cashback.

The company also unveiled an 8-inch Honor Pad 5 which would come out in 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage for Rs. 15,499 and a 4GB plus 64GB storage variant for Rs. 17,499. Further a 10-1inch Honor Pad5 3GB variant for Rs. 16,999 and 4GB model for Rs. 18,999. The storage available remains the same as the 8-inch edition.  Both the tablets would be available via Flipkart starting July 2019.
