Hero MotoCorp has revealed its plans to implement price hikes for certain models within its extensive lineup of two-wheelers, set to take effect on October 3, 2023. The renowned brand’s range of scooters and motorcycles will experience an approximate 1 percent price escalation. The specific magnitude of this increase will fluctuate depending on the particular model, as Hero MotoCorp cites the price adjustment as a component of its routine evaluation of product competitiveness and positioning, all while considering the impact of inflation.

Hero To Increase Motorcycle Price in India

This represents the third price increase for Hero in the fiscal year 2023-24. Prior to this, the motorcycle manufacturer had raised prices by a maximum of 1.5 percent. Additionally, the company had implemented price hikes for specific models in April 2023.

The company has just revealed an increase in prices for the newly introduced Karizma XMR, which takes effect starting today. The motorcycle now carries a higher price tag of Rs 7,000, and as of October 1, the company has temporarily suspended new bookings for this model.

Hero has experienced a noteworthy year in India, marked by several product launches. These introductions encompassed 4V variants of existing motorcycles, an upgraded Glamour, the brand-new Karizma XMR, and the inaugural model resulting from its collaboration with Harley-Davidson, the X440, among others. The X440, in particular, garnered significant acclaim in the Indian market, with bookings surpassing the 25,000 unit milestone in early August.

The manufacturer is currently in the process of testing a new XPulse model. It is anticipated that this bike will incorporate a larger displacement 210 cc, liquid-cooled engine, which initially made its debut in the Karizma.
