The Moto G10 Power isn’t far from the Moto G10 edition that Motorola introduced in select markets recently. The only marquee difference between the global Moto G10 and Indian Moto G10 Power is a larger battery inside the latter, which also explains the ‘Power’ moniker.

Moto G10 Power review: Design and build quality
The Moto G10 Power is aesthetically one of the most appealing phones in its segment. Moto has chosen Aurora Grey and Breeze Blue colors with a slightly distinctive pattern at back. Both shades look classy without being too flashy.
The phone is primarily made out of plastic. The back panel has a ridge pattern which not only looks good but also ensures a firm and comfortable grip. There’s a quad-camera array at the top left corner and a moto dimple with an embedded fingerprint sensor.
It is a big phone with overall dimensions measuring 165.22 x 75.73 x 9.89 mm and is quite heavy tipping the scale at 220 grams. The weight is however well balanced and the phone doesn’t feel too heavy in hand.
Apart from regular volume rocker and power key, Moto G10 Power has a dedicated button for Google Assistant which is something convenient for smart home users, but might not be as relevant in the entry-grade segment. Build quality-wise, the hard plastic made phone has no flexing issues or creaking sounds when pressure is applied with fingers. It has an IP52 water repellent design which means you won’t have to worry about accidental water spills.
Moto G10 Power review: Display
Motorola’s decision to include an HD+ display instead of an FHD+ panel is clearly an attempt to save some bucks. It comes with a larger screen measuring 6.5-inches diagonally. It has a dew-drop cut notch at the top and reasonably thick bezels all around it.
While we found the G10 Power screen to be good enough for media consumption and internet surfing, the lack of sharpness was noticeable. Nonetheless, Motorola has calibrated the display well. In fact, I have always found Moto’s calibration on budget devices better than the competition. The 60Hz panel lacks bells and whistles but it’s a good enough panel considering the price of the device.
Moto G10 Power review: Performance and software
With the kind of hardware the Moto G10 Power packs inside, one must have realistic expectations. The Moto G10 Power employs a Snapdragon 460 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. There’s an inbuilt microSD card slot through which one can expand storage up to 1TB.
What makes the G10 Power stand out is its software. It’s one of the rare phones under Rs 10,000 that comes with bloat-free Android software. Of course, it has those customary Moto gestures which many of us find useful in day-to-day life.
In terms of everyday performance, it manages to run day-to-day operations without much trouble. It takes a few extra milliseconds to open up apps or switch between them and the lag is more noticeable under demanding loads like gaming.
The performance isn’t the strong suit of the G10 Power, but there is little reason to complain considering the price.
Moto G10 Power Camera review
The Moto G10 includes an 8MP selfie camera and a 48MP sensor-led quad-setup at the back. The rear camera setup also includes an 8MP ultra-wide and two 2MP depth and macro cameras.
Out of the four sensors at the back, the primary 48MP sensor deserves the most attention. It can deliver social-media-worthy shots in favorable lighting conditions, but it wouldn’t be wise to expect much in terms of lowlight performance. While shooting, there’s a noticeable shutter lag. This will force you to hold the pose for that extra millisecond otherwise image will lose out details and there is a good chance that the subject will turn out blurred.

Moto G10 Power review: Battery Life
The Power phone packs a massive 6000mAh battery. Furthermore, the display and other hardware aren’t as demanding, which is to say that you won’t be able to run it dry as easily. It manages to retain battery life well. Overnight we saw only a 5 percentage point drop which isn’t much.
With Moto G10 Power we were able to get more than 2 days of battery on a single charge, but your mileage may warry depending on your usage. The phone ships with a 20W charger in-box which takes more than two hours to fully refill the 6000mAh battery.
Should you buy Moto G10 Power in India?
Yes, if you are looking for a phone under Rs 10,000 with clean software. The Moto G10 Power has no pre-loaded bloatware which veils some of its other shortcomings. Its solid design and great battery life are a couple of other positives to consider. Slightly better performance would have made the Moto G10 Power a lot more desirable.
