A third smartphone from Google is on the cards, if one is to believe a recent report doing the rounds on the Internet. Though a big shadow of doubt still looms over the authenticity of the news.

Going by the news, outed by DroidLife, the Taimen is another codename that has been given to the smartphone, which, it is being said, will feature a premium design and top-notch specifications.

The said piece of news also corroborated the fact that the next generation of Pixel smartphones have been codenamed after species of fish (Muskie and Walleye, respectively), that we also covered recently.

While the moniker Walleye has been reserved for the next gen version of the Pixel handset, the Pixel XL next-gen variant has been codenamed Muskie. Just like the above mentioned two phones, the newer one’s codename has also given way to various theories regarding the phone.

Many claim that the phone would come in a much bigger size than the rest of the Google smartphone family (quite possibly around 6-inch), while others feel that it may actually have a display with very less or no bezels, if not a large screen size.

Let’s just wait and watch what transpires.
