Pixel Watch 2 Debuts with Enhanced Sensors, Extended Battery Life, Superior Precision Health data

Google has announced its next series of Pixel devices during the Made By Google event today. Alongside the new pixel phones, the brand has also announced Pixel Watch 2, and updates for Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Fold, and more.

Pixel Watch 2: Price & Availability

The Pixel Watch 2 will be available in WiFi as well as LTE variants starting at 349 USD. The watch can be ordered today and will be delivered next week.

The Google Pixel Watch 2 will be available in a matte black aluminum case, polished silver aluminum case, and champagne gold aluminum case. The band colors available will be obsidian, bay, hazel, and porcelain.

Pixel Watch 2: Features

Google Pixel Watch 2 has a design that looks very similar to its predecessor but the 2nd generation watch comes with some new features as well. The Watch is made of 100% aluminum and comes in polished silver/bay, matte black/ obsidian, champagne gold/hazel, and polished silver/porcelain. The watch can also be bought in new Metal Slim and Active Sport bands. The Pixel Watch 2 has a diameter of 41mm and a height of 12.3mm. The watch weighs 31 grams without the band.

New pixel Watch 2 features include Fitbit’s multi-path heart rate sensor, Fitbit’s stress management system, automatic workout-tracking, Emergency sharing of your real-time location with important contacts, and Medical info with health services.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11, NFC, and FeliCa. The Pixel Watch 2 comes with the most accurate GPS and health sensors to date. It can work with Android 9.0 or newer versions of OS.

It has an always-on-display with 1000 nits brightness, 320ppi AMOLED panel with custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Pixel Watch 2 packs a 306mAh battery that can last for 24 hours on a single charge, that too when AOD is enabled. The watch can charge for 12 hours in just 30 minutes. The watch is powered by Qualcomm SW5 100 chipset and runs WearOS 4.0. It has 32GB storage and 2GB RAM onboard.

The sensors on Pixel Watch 2 are a compass, altimeter, SpO2 sensor, ECG sensor, heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, skin temperature sensor, barometer, magnetometer, and more.
