Gionee S9 With Dual Cameras & 4GB RAM To Launch On November 15

In this season, when its literally raining dual cameras smartphone, Gionee doesn’t want to stay far behind. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing up to introduce its first dual camera phone – Gionee S9 on November 15. Rumors related to dual camera phone has been buzzing for some time now but confirmation only came from a teaser post on compnay’s Weibo account.

gionee-s9-759 Recently, Gionee S9 and S9T received TENNA certification in China, which further fueled the speculation about their launch. As per TENAA listing, Gionee S9 is powered by 1.8 GHz chipset while the S9T variant will employ a 2.0 GHz Octa-core chipset. Most of the other specification remains the same. Both phones will sport a 5.5-inch IPS display with full HD resolution. Both smartphones will have 4Gigs of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage with expandable storage support via microSD card.

As per benchmarking site Antutu, the Gionee S9 will feature a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset coupled with Mali-T860GPU. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. For shutterbugs, it will boast a 13 MP sensor with 5 MP sensor dual camera setup at the back & a 13 MP selfies shooter a the front. It is said to be backed by a 3,000 mAh.
