Gionee M7 With Full Vision Display and Dual-Rear Camera Announced; Price and Specification

Chinese smartphone manufactuer Gionee has launched its first set of full-vision display smartphones M7 and M7 Power in China.  The company at the launch event showcased the Gionee M7 which was seen sporting in a metal unibody design and a full vision display with almost no bezels on the sides and visibly thin bezels on the top and bottom of the screen.

Gionee M7 Specification and Features

Clearly. The highlight of Gionee M7 is its large infinity display on the front, the phone features a 6.01-inch Full HD (1920X1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 18:9 screen aspect ratio, and a 2.5D glass on top. There is also a fingerprint sensor and a built-in security encryption chip for secure mobile payments.

Under the hood, the Gionee M7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz paired with ARM Mali-G71 GPU. The processor is supported by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

In optics, the dual-camera at the back features a combination of 16MP+16MP sensors with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. Up front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter.

The Gionee M7 boots on the Android Nougat, out of the box, garnished with Amigo OS 5.0 on top. The smartphone is fueled by the 4,000mAh battery that also supports fast-charging. The connectivity option on the same includes dual-SIM support (Hybrid SIM slot), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and NFC.

Gionee M7 Price and Availability

The Gionee M7 comes in five hues – Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, Champagne Gold, Black and Maple Red, and will be available in China for RMB 2,799, which roughly amounts to Rs. 27,600 in Indian currency.

The official entry of Gionee M7 smartphone in India has not been announced, however, seeing the foothold of Gionee smartphone’s in the Indian market, it is expected to happen soon, maybe by mid-october.
