G-SHOCK just dropped three new metallic colorways for its hit GBM-2100 series in India, and at ₹19,995, they are taking a direct shot at the “lifestyle” watch market currently dominated by Fossil and Titan.

But this launch isn’t just about new colors. It’s G-SHOCK’s aggressive play for the wrist of anyone tired of charging their watch every night.

The new Champagne Gold, Metallic Blue, and Burgundy models (part of the GBM-2100 “CasiOak” lineage) are built to bridge the gap between a rugged tool watch and a piece of jewelry you can wear to a client meeting.

The “CasiOak” Gets a Glow Up

The GBM-2100 series has quietly become Casio’s modern icon. Fans call it the “CasiOak” for its octagonal bezel that resembles the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. These new metallic variants lean hard into that “luxury sport” vibe:

  • Champagne Gold (GBM-2100A-8B): A muted, luxury finish that feels surprisingly dressy.
  • Metallic Blue (GBM-2100A-2B): The mass-market favorite; sporty, clean, and pairs with denim.
  • Burgundy (GBM-2100A-4B): A bold, boutique choice for those bored of silver and black.

Unlike the chunky G-SHOCKs of the past, these sit relatively slim (11.9mm) on the wrist. They maintain the brand’s legendary ruggedness but swap the “tactical gear” look for something that fits under a shirt cuff.

Smart Features Without the Leash

This is where G-SHOCK separates itself from the hybrid pack. Competitors like the Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid or Titan Edge smart series often force a compromise: you get smart features, but you’re still tethered to a charger.

The GBM-2100 flips the script with Tough Solar and Bluetooth.

Infinite Battery

It charges from any light source, like sunlight or fluorescent office lights.

Always Accurate

It syncs with your phone 4 times a day via Bluetooth to ensure atomic-level precision.

Phone Finder

Lost your phone? Hold a button on the watch to make it ring, even on silent.

You get the convenience of a smartwatch without the “black mirror” distraction of a screen on your wrist.

For the user who finds daily charging tedious and touchscreen notifications intrusive, these metallic 2100s offer a compelling middle ground: a watch that is smart enough to be useful, tough enough to survive a 200-meter dive, and stylish enough to wear to dinner.
