Fossil Unwraps Its Range Of Smart Wearable In India

Luxurious and premium watch maker Fossil has forayed into wearable market in India today by unveiling a range of wearable that includes fitness tracker, smart watches, and hybrid watches. The new range of devices is spread across the Fossil Group Licensed brands including, Fossil Q, Micheal Mors Connected, Skagen Connected, Chaps, Emporio Armani and Misfit.

Announcing the launch in India, Jack Quinlan, Senior Vice-President, APAC, Fossil Group stated, “It is our constant endeavor to offer products that not only appeal to our consumers’ sense of style but also meet their changing requirements. India is the fastest growing market in the APAC region with a CAGR of more than 40%. Smartwatches are slated to constitute about 40 per cent of wearable devices by the end of 2016 and through the launch of the new range, we aim to capture a considerable share of the market. With the growing penetration of digital technology, we recognized the need to meet the requirements of the millennial trendsetter”.

Using IDC data as a reference, Fossils said overall wearable market grew at the rate of 41.9 percent in Q2 2016, this launch in wearable products in India will help the company to make deeper inroads and open new doors in the consumer electronic and technology channels.

So, These are the new devices company announced in India:

Misfit Shine 2 and Misfit Ray – These ‘design forward’ fashionable gears are priced at Rs. 7,495 onwards. These fitness trackers aimed at youngster as they sport a modular, minimalistic design.

Fossil Q Wander and Q Marshal – These are the first wearable watches from renowned fashion brand Fossils that offer touchscreen displays, refined steel case and classic leather straps (interchangeable).

Both watches include Always On display which relays important information like time, calls, and alerts and can also be used to respond to messages.  The Fossil Q Wander and Q Marshal collection are priced between Rs. 21,995 and Rs. 22, 595.

Michael Kors Access – This smartwatch targets fashion-focused consumers. Inspired by the iconic Bradshaw and Dylan styles, Michael Kors Access comes with features like super connectivity, activity tracking, voice activation, customizable display faces, and wireless charging for a price ranging from super connectivity, activity tracking, voice activation, customizable display faces, wireless charging for a price ranging between Rs. 25,995 and Rs. 29,495.

Hagen Connected hybrid smart watches and Skagen Connected activity tracker – Inspired by simple Danish design these wearables aim to add value to user experience without any added complexity. The price ranges between INR 14,295 and INR 15,495.

Emporio Armani – Emporio Armani Watches reflect the modern taste and casual sophistication with modern shapes and materials balanced with a classic style. These hybrid smart watches are available in four metal finishes, of rose gold, black, gunmetal and stainless steel priced between INR 17,495 and INR 27,995.

Chaps Smartwatch – This Smartwatch is perfect for the customer who wants all the functionality of a world class tracker with notifications, hidden in the beauty of a traditional watch. The Chaps Smartwatch is priced between INR 9,995 and INR 10,499.
