Originally launched in December last year, Coolpad’s Cool S1 smartphone is all set to hit Indian shores in May, if sources close to the company are to be believed.
Coolpad also showed off the phone at the recently concluded MWC, which is a joint venture between Coolpad and LeEco and is a part of the Cool series of smartphones.

The phone comes in three separate variants with varying RAM and ROM capacities and are hence priced accordingly.
The first variant sports a 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in ROM while the second and third are common in terms of the RAM (6GB) but a tad different in primary storage (64GB and 128GB respectively).
It is the 4GB RAM variant only that is being said to be coming to India, though.
The Cool S1 has a 5.5-inch HD display that comes with a resolution of 1920x1080p and has a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset powering it, which is also supported by an Adreno 530 GPU.
The phone boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow accompanied by the company’s EUI 5.8 skin on the top and boasts of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
There is a powerful 4,070mAh power unit to take the helm of the things as well as 16MP/8MP cameras on the rear/front for photography.
Also, the phone comes equipped with Harman Kardon’s tone tuning technology and has the company’s AKG N18 earphones packed alongside.
The expected Indian variant of the Cool S1 commands a price of CNY 2699 (approximately Rs. 26,181) and is available in two – Black and Gold – color variants.
