Coolpad just announced that it has sold over 5 Lakh Coolpad Note 3 (Full Review) Lite units in India, and is celebrating this success by offering a new limited-edition Gold variant for 7,499 INR (as against 6,999 INR which you have to shell out for the conventional white model).

The secret ingredient in Coolpad’s success formula is a Fingerprint sensor that actually works like it should. The company first cashed in on this advantage with the Note 3, and later replicated this success in a lesser price bracket.
