Realme X2 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Vs Asus 6Z Vs OnePlus 7: Hardware

Features wise, the Realme X2 Pro scores better than the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, Asus 6Z and OnePlus 7. In fact, on paper, the Realme X2 Pro even makes a case for comparison with OnePlus 7T and ROG phone – flagship killers that are priced significantly higher than the Asus 6Z and OnePlus 7. Out of the four phones, the Realme X2 Pro is the only phone that comes with a 90Hz refresh rate screen. The X2 Pro has a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED screen which can refresh up to 90 times in a second.

While the Redmi K20 Pro and OnePlus 7 both have an AMOLED screen, the Asus preferred to go in with an LCD screen for the 6Z. The Redmi X20 Pro and OnePlus 7 both have a V-shaped notch on top, whereas the Redmi K20 Pro and Asus 6Z score with their better screen-to-body ratio thanks to motorized selfie cameras.

The Realme X2 Pro outperforms all the other three when it comes to handling demanding loads. With Snapdragon 855+ and up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage, it is clearly better poised to outdo the other contenders on the list.  The Xiaomi Redmi K20, Asus 6Z and OnePlus 7 are evenly positioned on the hardware front. All three of them are driven by Snapdragon 855 which is a lower binned version of the Snapdragon 855+.

Realme X2 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Vs Asus 6Z Vs OnePlus 7: Software

One of the biggest differentiating factors among all four phones is the software. Personally speaking, I would choose the stock~ish Oxygen Os of OnePlus 7 or Zen UI of the Asus 6Z over the Redmi 20 Pro’s MIUI or Realme X2 Pro’s Color OS. Oxygen OS is both feature reach and cleans without any bloatware.

The same can be said about the Zen UI. However, MIUI and Color OS both are shoddy and complicated. K20 Pro shows fewer adds than other Xiaomi phones, but you’ll still run into them every now and them.

Realme X2 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Vs Asus 6Z Vs OnePlus 7: Camera Specs

Optics-wise, the Realme X2 Pro offers better specs on paper. Out of the four phones, it the only phone to feature a quad-camera setup at the rear. In the X2 Pro, the primary rear camera is a 64MP sensor (f/1.8). The other three rear camera sensors are 13MP telephoto sensor, 8MP Ultra wide and 2MP depth sensor.

The Redmi K20 Pro comes with a 48-MP primary camera including an f/1.8 lens. The secondary rear camera is a telephoto 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The third sensor here is an ultra-wide 13MP sensor. At the front, the K20 Pro gets a 20MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

Asus 6Z ARCore camera update

As for Asus 6Z, it only boasts a dual-camera setup of 48MP coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. What’s unique it’s the motorize flip camera module which enables users to use these same sensors for selfies as well as capturing regular shots. The 6Z unique camera module gives you the advantage of shooting panorama shots both vertically or horizontally.

The OnePlus 7 also has a dual-camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera paired with a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 16MP sensor on the front. OnePlus 7 seems to have the weakest footing among all four phones. On paper, the Realme X2 is clearly out-numbers the Redmi K20 Pro, Asus 6Z and OnePlus 7.

Realme X2 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Vs Asus 6Z Vs OnePlus 7: Battery

The Realme X2 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro draws power from their 4000mAh batteries while the Asus 6Z packs a larger 5000mAh battery. The OnePlus 7 comes last with a 3700mAh battery. Where Realme X2 Pro makes other sweat behind is battery refill time. With 50W charger, the Realme X2 Pro takes 30 minutes to fully refuel the 4000mAh battery.  The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro comes second with 27W charging, while OnePlus 7 and Asus 6Z end up at third and fourth position with 20W and 18W fast charging respectively.

Realme X2 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Vs Asus 6Z Vs OnePlus 7: Verdict

Of the four phones in this comparison, the Realme X2 Pro seems to be hit most notes correctly. It comes with better innards, 90Hz super AMOLED screen, quad-cameras, and 50W charging. The Redmi K20 Pro, Asus 6Z and OnePlus 7 can’t really match up in terms of hardware, but the 6Z and OnePlus 7 have a clearcut software advantage. So, it all comes down to the price and personal brand preference.
