Citroen’s 1st ever electric car in India, the eC3 electric SUV has finally gone official in the country for a price starting under 12 lakhs. This full-battery EV is built at the French car marque’s manufacturing facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Deliveries of the new Citroen eC3 to the B2B and B2C segments will start end of February through Citroen’s La Maison showrooms across the country.

Citroen eC3 Price

The electric SUV will be available in the following models-

  • Live variant- Rs. 11.50 lakhs
  • Feel variant- Rs. 12.13 lakhs
  • Feel (vibe pack)- Rs. 12.28 lakhs
  • Feel (dual tone vibe pack)- Rs. 12.43 lakhs

The new SUV is available for retail in as many as 25 cities including New Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chennai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Surat, Nagpur, Vizag, Bhopal, Karnal, Mangalore, Dehradun, Rajkot, and others. The brand has claimed that all showrooms will be equipped with a DC fast charger.

Citroen eC3: Features

The Citroen eC3 comes with split headlamps, LED DRLs, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, steering-mounted controls, and 4 speakers.

The EV is powered by a 29.2kWh LFP Battery pack that claims a range of 320km on a full charge, which is the maximum in the segment. The EV gets a single front axle-mounted electric motor with 56bhp and 143Nm of peak torque. It is heavier than the petrol hatch by nearly 300kg.

It comes with 2 driving modes- Eco and Standard along with regenerative braking. It claims a top speed of 107kmph and gets 100% DC fast charging and 15 ampere home charging capability as well. DC Fast charging can charge the battery up to 80% in 57 minutes. The EV is offered in 13 exterior color combos, 3 packs with 47 customization options.

Tata Tiago EV

The newest launch is the electric version of the existing C3 hatchback that is priced between Rs. 5.98 lakhs and Rs. 8.25 lakh ex-showroom. The eC3 rivals Tiago EV which starts at Rs. 8.49 lakh and goes up to Rs. 11.79 lakhs.
