Carl Pei teases Android 13 update for Nothing Phone 1: Checkout what it entails

Nothing Phone 1 might soon get the much-awaited Android 13 Beta update. A banner recently surfaced online that revealed the first smartphone from Nothing getting an Android 13 update soon. The CEO Carl Pei also tweeted a link to a post that made a reference to the Nothing OS 1.5.0 upgrade. He posted a screenshot showing Android 13 for Nothing Phone 1.

Further in his responses, the CEO mentioned that the update will be available soon. Earlier the update was supposed to roll out next year, but now the beta version might debut by the end of 2022. The stable update will roll out by next year.

Android 13 Features

New Android 13 comes with various customization options. There is an ability to copy text and media from one Android device and paste it on another along with the expansion of app color themes, the ability to set language preferences at the app level, improved privacy features, and more.

Nothing Phone 1: Specs

The Nothing Phone 1 sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It has a dual camera setup at the back with a 50MP main and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The camera setup supports OIS and EIS. There is a 16MP selfie camera at the front. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The USP of Nothing Phone 1 is its Glyph interface with 1000s of LED notification lights on its rear panel.

The device packs a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging.
