The Marvels postponed to November 10

Captain Marvel herself shared the new launch date on Twitter with the tagging #TheMarvels and a new poster that says “Higher. Further. Faster. Together”. It is a sequel to the 2021 movie titled Captain Marvel which garnered $1 billion gross at the box office.

Cut to The Marvels, the movie is directed by Nia DaCosta of Candyman fame. The movie stars Teyonah Parris who plays a grown-up version of Monica Rambeau. Teyonah was last seen in WandaVision. The premise of the upcoming sequel was teased in the finale of Ms. Marvel which is pretty much how Marvel Studios has kept its fans waiting for more.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney CEO Bob Iger recently shifted his focus on curating brands including Pixel, Star Wars, and Marvel, in order to cut back on the costs that skyrocketed ever since the pandemic hit. For now, Marvel will spread out its output on Disney+ TV after spending billions on releasing 18 projects across theatres and TV between 2021 and 2022 adding to the ballooning cost.

It stars Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Pym who will pit against Kang played by Creed III-starter Jonathan Majors.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is in the works releasing on May 5th on the big screen.
