With our growing smartphone usage, we all want a big battery phone. But just as important, the battery size is the speed at which it is topped up also matters. Now, various brands follow different fast-charging standards such as Dart, SuperVOOC, FlashCharge, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and 4.0, and Adaptive fast charging. You must check which of these is applicable to your handset and use that particular branded charger and cable only. Also, at the core of things, what you should check for is the wattage of the charger as well as the phone. It is the measure of power flow from the adapter to the phone. If you don’t know the wattage, it can be calculated by multiplying the amperage (rate of the amount of charge flow) with the voltage (rate of speed of charge flow). Now one other thing you should know is if the wattage of the charger and the phone don’t match, then the device will be charged at the wattage it supports. (हिंदी में पढ़िए)

Advantages and disadvantages of fast charging

Fast charging is a matter of convenience, having tasted which, you wouldn’t want to go back. Charging gadgets by themselves is a pain that most people would want to avoid altogether if they could, and fast charging lets you get done with the rigmarole quickly. It can also be a lifesaver in situations where you forget to top up your phone and are scrambling for charging points at the last minute.

On the downside, to implement fast charging, the separator within the battery needs to be thicker, which consequently inflates the size of your phone and battery. Fast charging (more importantly the heat generated in the process) also has an impact on your phone’s battery health in the long run, but not as much to be a deal-breaker.

So, if you are buying a new phone and you want to know which all are your best bet, then check out this list.
