Design used to be the most neglected aspect of budget phones. As of today, however, this is something that ranks quite high on the priority list of consumers and manufacturers. With most phones offering nearly the same hardware specifications, consumers are quite conscious about how their phones look even in they lie in the affordable price range.

So, if you are looking for the best-looking phones priced under Rs. 10000, here are some of the worthy options that you’ll be excited to hold and to use.

1. Redmi Note 5

Xiaomi introduced its Redmi Note 5, which rides on the contemporary, gorgeous full vision display. The handset, which is the successor of Xiaomi’s last year blockbuster phone Redmi Note 4, flaunts 5.99-inch 18:9 FHD+ display on the front with visibly thin bezels. To add on this, the handset has a metal unibody design and is being offered in multiple hues.

The Redmi Note 5 is powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core chip and will be available in different RAM and storage options, of which the base variant – 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM is priced around 10K.

2. Honor 9 Lite

The Honor 9 Lite is the only phone in this price range that offers a full view display and glass body. The glass and plastic construction looks premium and the phone is still quite compact and light to comfortably operate and carrying around. The mirror finish of the glass panela and exciting color options help too.

The design is the biggest strength of Honor 9 Lite. Other highlights include an option to shoot portrait selfies and Android Oreo-based software. The base variant costs 10,999 INR, which is slightly more than the budget we are considering.

3. Infinix Hot S3

After an ambitious launch of Infinix Zero 5 in Dubai, the company has introduced its first selfie centric mobile phone the Hot S3 (review) in India. The handsome phone flaunts 18:9 display on the front and with metallic finish back it got enough swag considering its price.

Apart from looks, the Hot S3 boasts 20-megapixel selfie camera, Snapdragon 430 SoC, and Android Oreo out of the box clearly makes hot buy under Rs 10,000.

4. Tecno Camon i

Tecno, one of many brands of Transsion Holdings that operates offline, recently launched Camon i – its first full-view display phone. The handset has metal matte finish back and is also extremely light weighing just 134 grams. The fascia is primarily dominated by its 5.7-inch full-view display.

The Camon i doesn’t house the best possible hardware in this budget, but if you are a basic user inclined on buying from offline stores and need a phone that looks good, it’s one option you can consider.

5. Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie

If a full view screen isn’t something that you necessarily need, the Zenfone 4 Selfie is a slim and ergonomic phone worth considering. The bezel on the front doesn’t feel like a waste because there is a fast fingerprint sensor at the bottom and some serious selfie-paraphernalia up top.

The handset is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Asus has also added a dedicated card slot for MicroSD expansion.

6. Xiaomi Redmi Y1

Redmi Y1 (FAQ) was Xiaomi’s first ‘selfie-centric’ phone in India. It measures 7.7mm in thickness and is fairly light (153 grams). The dual SIM phone has a metal side frame and a metal finish plastic back.

The handset has a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens, a 5.5-inch display, and a 3080mAh battery.

7. Infocus Vision 3

Infocus Vision 3 (Review) is another affordable phone that has a full-view screen and looks good. The handset has a plastic back (with metallic finish), and also boasts of features like dual rear cameras and face unlock (upcoming), all for a price of Rs. 6,999.

The paltry 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space are, of course, limiting factors that make it tough to recommend Vision 3 for anyone who isn’t a basic user.

8. Coolpad Cool 1

Coolpad Cool 1 (Review) isn’t exactly a new phone, but it’s still on sale through official channels for a lucrative price of Rs. 8,999 (4GB RAM + 32GB storage).

The phone has a metal unibody design and offers one of the best rear cameras for its price. The biggest downside, however, is that it runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box.

9. Xiaomi Redmi 5A

Redmi 5A (FAQ) isn’t very different from its predecessor, Redmi 4A, on the inside but Xiaomi’s entry grade phone now has a metallic finish (the material used is still plastic, though), which also makes it a good looking phone in its class.

With a 5-inch screen, the Redmi 5A is compact and is also lightweight. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 425 octa-core chipset paired with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Redmi 5A makes sense if you are on a tight budget.
