The price bracket of 10K-15K is where we see the most competition in Indian smartphone space. This means Manufacturer’s are trying real hard to impress consumers, and very often we must add, which is ultimately a good thing. Here are some options we think are worth considering.

Note: If you are searching in a different price bracket, visit our buying guide page for more information

Moto G Turbo Edition

Moto G Turbo Edition is a much needed improvement to already existing Moto G 2015 and thus replaces it in our list. While the Moto G 3rd gen wseith Snapdragon 410 (1.4GHz) was a bit lackluster, the Moto G Turbo improves with more competitive Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and rapid turbo charging. For a change, Motorola will also include Turbo Charger within the box.

Micromax Canvas Sliver 5

Micromax Canvas Sliver is in no way the ‘best-specced’ phone around, but if you crave for a slim and premium looking device, the Canvas 5 Sliver is worth considering, especially after the recent price cuts. The handset was launched in June for around 18,000 INR but is now available for as low as 11,490 INR- a reasonable price we have to say.

CANVAS-SLIVER

Besides the razon thin profile, Canvas Sliver 5 delivers decent performance for basic, casual and moderate users. Battery live is average, but not disappointing. The camera takes good shots in day lighting, but is a very standard affair in indoors and low lighting.

Note: Micromax Canvas 5 is another option which looks good, thanks to 2.5D display glass and has better looks, but in our opinion, all that doesn’t translate to better user experience. Read our Micromax Canvas 5 FAQ for details,

Lenovo Vibe S1 is another premium looking handset with classy glass and metal construction, which you can buy for 15K (Alright, 15,200 INR). The handset includes decent camera hardware, with dual selfie camera at the front for bokeh style selfies. Another highlight is the gorgeous full HD display panel.

In case you are looking from a familiar brand option, Vibe S1 checks all the right boxes, except for the fingerprint sensor. Lenovo Vibe P1 will provides just that for a little extra, and also has a bigger battery, but Vibe S1 looks better and has a better display.
