The market for Tablets has consistently been shrinking, but that hasn’t deterred manufacturers like Asus from thinking big. The Taiwan-based electronic equipment manufacturer presented two variants of ZenPad 10 at Computex 2017.

Both variants are powered by budget MediaTek quad-core chipsets paired with 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB storage. As always, Asus also bundles 100GB of free cloud storage valid for up to 2 years with the new ZenPad 10 models.

You aren’t likely to be using the gigantic ZenPad 10 for primary photography and thus Asus has used a conservative 5MP and 2MP camera combination on back and front.

On the other hand, to bolster multimedia experience, which should be a top priority for anyone considering buying these tablets, Asus seems to be paying due attention to display and audio output.

The 10.1-inch display of Zenpad 10 sports Full HD or HD resolution depending on the variant you choose. Asus says that its Tru2Life software will adjust contrast and sharpness at pixel level to broaden the dynamic range and for more realistic reproduction of images. The ZenPad 10 also has dual front-facing stereo speakers and DTS Headphone:X support.

The software is Andriod Nougat based Zen UI. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, with Miracast support, USB Type-C port with OTG support, Bluetooth 4.0, Audio jack, MicroSD (SD-XC) (up to 128GB) and Micro SIM slot.

Pricing and availability details will be announced later.
