Asus had launched its flagship device Zenfone 5Z earlier this year. This phone made waves as the cheapest handset boasting a Snapdragon 845 chipset at the time of launch. The phone managed to pack in some amazing features for the price point and even ran the then latest Android Oreo 8.1 based ZenUI out of the box. Now Asus confirmed that the phone will be getting the latest Android Pie update via an OTA update sometime early next year.

Asus has sincerely worked on improving the ZenUI and the current version of UI is clutter-free with less Bloatware. This has been a huge respite and we hope Asus continues the same approach with Android Pie as well while including the new features such as Digital Wellbeing, App actions, Slices. The update has been scheduled to roll out in a phased manner by the end of January next year. So we can expect all the 5Z’s to get it by February 2019.
