Asus India expands its gaming lineup in India with new laptops from the ROG Zephyrus and Strix series. They sport a slim and portable form factor. However, as gaming rigs, they are powerful in terms of the underlying specs, necessary for e-sports excellence. So, we have 2 laptops from the Zephyrus range, 3 from Strix Scar III family and 2 laptops from the ROG Strix G series.
Zephyrus S Series: GX531 and GX701 specs
Zephyrus S GX531 is a 15.35-inch laptop that’s 16.15mm thin while the GX701 stretches to 17-inch diagonally. Both their display supports 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time aided with factory calibrated Pantone colour certification.
They are powered by a hexacore 9th generation Intel Core i7 CPU with 12 threads. While the 15-inch laptop is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q, the 17-inch laptop wields a superior RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU. These new RTX 20 GPUs support real-time ray tracing. On top of this, the laptops feature an exclusive GPU switch as well as ROG Boost, which ensures smoother gameplay with no lags and torn graphics.
The audio experience is helmed by ESS Sabre HiFi DAC with Hi-Res Audio certification. Other features include 1TB Dual M.2 NVMe SSDs and USB Type-C PD charging support.
ROG STRIX series: SCAR III and Hero III specs
They flaunt 240Hz/3ms display with slim bezels and 81.5% screen-to-body ratio. They run on the latest octa-core 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9880H CPU with each single core clocking as high as 4.1GHz and 16 threads for heavy multitasking. The graphics is processed by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with top speeds of 1540MHz at 115W in turbo mode.
The heat dissipation is handled by a wide ventilated 3D Flow Zone, Strategic keyboard ventilation, and intelligent cooling optimizations.

Other features include deeply customizable keystones, smart WiFi boost, personalized colors and effects on the peripheral, and Dedicated hotkeys.
Strix G Edition: G531 & G731
This one has a 120Hz/3ms display with slim bezels and 81.5% screen-to-body ratio. It ships with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 for graphics and 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H CPU at the core. This is a hexacore chipset with a single core clocked at as high as 4.5GHz and comes with 12 threads for aggressive multitasking.
This one also borrows the heat dissipation techniques and other features from the Scar III range.
