ASUS ROG Phone 4 launch is expectedly around the corner as the Taiwanese brand posted a teaser about the upcoming gaming phone on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. A fresh leak popped online and reveals ASUS ROG Phone 4 alleged live image. Interestingly Weibo user WHYLAB who posted the image also spotted the number ’05’ suggesting that ASUS could skip the ‘4’ moniker to launch ROG Phone 5 instead.

ASUS seems to have made some minor alterations in the design of the next-gen ROG phone. The ROG branding is now shifted to the lower-left corner. There’s a new red button visible in the leaked image. Rumor has it that is will be a dedicated button for gaming mode. It is speculated to feature a 64MP primary camera sensor led triple-camera arrangement. The main sensor would have Quad-Bayer technology in place for better low light results.

Another Chinese leakester Digital Chat Station has posted some of the alleged specs of the ROG Phone 4 on Weibo. As per the leakster, the ASUS ROG Phone 4 is to feature a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery along with improved 65W fast charging support. Currently available ASUS ROG Phone 3 can refill the battery with up to 30W fast charger (wired). Previously, the upcoming ROG Phone was spotted on Geekbench suggesting it could come running on Snapdragon 888, coupled with at least 8GB of RAM, and run Android 11 out of the box. Historically, ASUS usually announces its new ROG Phone with a higher binned version of Qualcomm’s existing flagship SoC. Will that be true even this time? Let’s wait and watch. For the time being, we would urge readers to take this rumored information with a pinch of salt.
