Asus ROG Phone 3 to Launch on July 22 Globally; Flipkart Teases in India

Asus has been maintaining a low profile in the mobile segment in the last few months now we know the reason. The Taiwanese tech giant was prepping up to launch the ROG Phone 3. Asus’ third ROG gaming phone will go official on July 22 at a virtual event. The company will be live streaming virtual event via their official YouTube channel and other social media handles.

Walmart owned e-commerce site Flipkart couldn’t conceal its excitement and put out a dedicated teaser for ROG Phone 3. Over the year’s Flipkart has been home of Asus Phones and the partnership between both brands seems to be continuing with ROG Phone 3. Though the teaser page, Flipkart has revealed that ROG Phone 3 is set to become the first phone based on Snapdragon 865+ Mobile Platform. Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset yesterday. As per the silicon giant, the Snapdragon 865+ is its best SoC to date.

Asus Rog Phone 3 launch date, time and how to watch livestream

Asus ROG Phone 3 launch: What to from the gaming phone?

Like all the ROG phones, Asus is once again will aim gaming enthusiast with the ROG Phone 3. The third-generation gaming phone from Asus is expected to house a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. It is likely to come embedded with the in-display fingerprint scanner. The ROG Phone 3 could also become the world’s first phone to come with 16GB RAM. Asus is likely to offer it with up to 512GB internal storage.

The ROG Phone 3 could have a triple-camera setup on the back. Asus could use a 64-megapixel primary sensor coupled it with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens. Rumors suggest a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front as well.

Asus is likely to ship it running on the Android 10 software with ROG UI on layered on the top. A 6,000mAh battery with multiple USB Type-C charging ports are also on the cards.
