Asus announced a slew of gaming laptops in India under its Republic of Gamers (ROG) series at an event held in New Delhi, India. The latest Esports gaming notebooks go by the name ROG Strix SCAR Edition and ROG Strix HERO Edition.
Asus claims that these gaming laptop series are tailor-made for first-person shooters (FPS) to gain a competitive edge in FPS titles such as Counter-Strike and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games such as League of Legends and Dota 2.

Along with the above-mentioned laptops, the company also unveiled the ROG Strix GL503 and ASUS Gaming FX503, which are their lightweight affordable gaming notebook.
Asus ROG Gaming series Price and Availability
All new ROG Gaming series will be available in India from December 20 onwards. Asus has priced the ROG Strix HERO Edition, SCAR Edition and Strix GL503 at a starting price of Rs. 92,990.
Asus ROG Strix SCAR and HERO Edition Specification
The ROG Strix SCAR Edition comes equipped Intel Core i7 processors integrated with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Series graphics. The laptop flaunts a super fast 7ms with 144Hz refresh rate IPS display and sport a desktop-style keyboard layout, N-key rollover and fast-actuating key.
On the other hand, ROG Strix Hero Edition is also powered by Intel Core i7 processors but is backed by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series graphics and Windows 10. Strix Hero Edition also packs a rich-color, 120Hz wide-view IPS display and a desktop-style keyboard that’s made for victory, with N-key rollover for fast, precise response to every input and a 20-million-key-press lifetime for ultimate reliability.
Asus ROG Strix GL503VM Specification
The ROG Strix GL503VM features a 15.6-inch FHD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate. The display panel is said to ensure 60%-brighter smooth and accurate visuals. Under the hood, it rocks Intel Core i7 processors with Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB graphics, 16GB RAM and 1TB storage space.

The SCAR edition has a desktop-style keyboard layout, N-key rollover and fast-actuating keys, ROG Strix SCAR Edition that keeps gamers attention to the game. The laptop comes running on Windows 10 out of the box.
Other features of the laptop include 4 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 3.1 Type-C slot and SD, MMC Card Reader, connectivity options – HDMI, Bluetooth 4.1, Dual band and Wi-Fi. The ROG Strix SCAR Edition measures 383.54 x 261.62 x 20.32mm and weighs 2.31kg.
ASUS Gaming FX503 Specification
ASUS Gaming FX503 is a mainstream gaming notebook, which is a compact and powerful and comes running on Windows 10. The laptop rocks Intel i7-7700HQ CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics, under the hood.
It has an intelligent dual fan cooling design that enables graphically-intense gaming sessions without throttling. Weighing 2.5kg, Asus Gaming FX503 offers features like red-backlit, desktop style layout anti-ghosting keyboard for the accurate gaming experience.
The Asus Gaming FX503 will be available for Rs. 69990 and its sale starts from December 20 on all major online and offline stores.
