Apple’s next iPhone SE model might resemble iPhone XR: iPhone14 series to come with various upgrades

0

Apple has already launched the SE model of the iPhone for 2022 and now there are reports that the next SE model would come with major changes. YouTuber Jon Prosser claims that the upcoming iPhone SE model will resemble iPhone XR in terms of design. This will make it different from other SE iPhones.

iPhone SE: Expected specs

Prosser claims that the brand will get rid of huge bezels and home button and introduce a notch, Face ID, and slimmer bezels in the next iPhone SE. It will be named iPhone SE 4. The next SE model might borrow some elements from iPhone XR, which has not been discontinued.

iPhone XR had a 6.1-inch LCD display that is bigger than the iPhone SE 2022’s 4.7-inch LCD display. iPhone XR has a bigger battery than the current SE models so we might get a bigger battery as well.

Coming to the camera, both iPhone SE and XR feature a single 12MP rear lens and a 7MP selfie lens. Apple might add a sensor or improve these existing ones by adding Night Mode etc.

The current iPhone SE is powered by an A15 Bionic chipset and chances are that the iPhone SE 4 will also be powered by the same. There is no news about when this new SE model would launch.

iPhone 14 Series: Expected Upgrades

iPhone 14 Series is all set to launch on September 7 with 4 models. The iPhone 14 Pro series is claimed to sport an upgraded ultrawide camera that will be bigger in size. The sensor is apparently made by Sony while the compact camera module is made by LG Innotek.

There are reports that Apple is finally bringing a fast-charging feature to its iPhone 14 Pro Series. According to a report by DuanRui, the Pro variants from the upcoming iPhone 14 Series might feature 30W fast charging. To date, Apple has been restricting its charging speed to 20W so this bump to 30W could improve speeds for iOS users significantly.

Apple is also expected to bring satellite connectivity to the iPhone 14 Series. Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has claimed that this is true. We would know more about it soon as the day of the launch inches closer.
