Apple has announced the ‘One More Thing’ event for November 10 at 11.30 pm IST. We expect the reveal of long-anticipated ARM-based in-house chips in this event. This will be the first processors designed by Apple for its Macs. Some recent reports claim the production of new 13-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros and a new 13-inch MacBook Air has already scaled up.

According to a Bloomberg report, Foxconn (aka Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.) is assembling the 13″ MacBook Air and Pro, and they are much ahead in pipeline. So, they could very likely see the daylight in the next week’s event. Meanwhile, the 16″ MacBook Pro is assembled by Quanta Computer Inc. The sources close to the matter also profess the device will not have major design changes, besides the new processors inside them.

Apple’s first processors will be based on its A14 silicon used within the iPhones and iPad Air. This will offer a common architecture for its device ecosystem). Thus, you could expect the company to conjure a similar power efficiency that would be at least better than Intel’s offering. Speaking of which, this will begin its gradual transition from Intel processors after a 15-year partnership.

The company is also said to be working on a redesigned iMac (an all-in-one desktop) and a new Mac Pro (it’s highest-end desktop yet).

Historically, the phrase ‘One More Thing’ has been used by Apple (primarily by Steve Jobs) at the end of its keynote events to evoke excitement for a new product/service. Now, the company could very well surprise the audience with a separate thing beyond what’s expected.
