Apple MacBook Pro 2018 Upgraded: New Intel Chipset, More RAM But No keyboard fix

Apple has refreshed its popular MacBook Pro laptops for 2018 that also includes the introduction of 13-inch and 15-inch variants. The new MacBook Pro’s are powered by up to six-core (hexa-core) Intel processors and features third-generation butterfly keyboard, which is much comfortable and quieter while typing. Apple continues to equip the new MacBook Pros with Touch Bar and Touch ID features.

MacBook Pro 2018: What New?

Apart from latest generation Intel processors and third generation keyboard, Apple has introduced its T2 chip for the first time MacBook Pros. The T2 Chip is used to enable Hey Siri support which company first introduced it with iMac Pro. Apple has also added True Tone display support which automatically adjusts display’s color temperature as per the viewing environment.

With the new MacBook Pro, Apple has enhanced security with support for secure boot and on-the-fly-encrypted storage. Apart from this, the MacBook Pro 2018 packs a slightly smaller but more efficient battery, as per the company claims. The new MacBook Pro uses light sensors to automatically adjust the color temperature of the display to best match your viewing environment. 

MacBook Pro 2018 Specifications

On the specs front, the compact 13-inch MacBook Pro is offered two options of quad-core Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. As for the graphics, the MacBook Pro comes with an Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics 640/655 with 128MB of eDRAM. The 13-inch variant of MacBook Pro supports up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage.

The 15-inch Apple NoteBook Pro, on the other hand, is offered with a six-core Intel Core i7 or i9 processors, which deliver a clock speed of up to 4.8GHz with Turbo Boost. Like the 13-inch variant, it can also hold up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The 15-inch variant also packs a powerful Radeon Pro 555X/560X discrete graphics with 4GB of GDDR5 memory and Intel UHD Graphics 630. The upgraded MacBook Pro will be available in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue, Silver, Space Gray and Black hues.

MacBook Pro Price In India

The Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch 2018 price in India starts from Rs 1,49,900. Both the MacBook Pro 13-inch and 15-inch variants will be sold via select Apple authorized resellers across the country. The MacBook Pro 2018 availability in India starts later this month. The MacBook Pro 2018 buyers will be able to upgrade to the macOS Mojave as soon as Apple starts its rollout.
