Following the path of Intel, AMD has also launched mobile-focused processors to pace up their game in the market. The 7000 series processors will be based on the latest Zen 4 architecture and the Radeon RX 7000 graphics processing unit (GPU) is developed on the RDNA 3 architecture. The 7000 series by AMD is based on Zen 4. However, not all of these processors are built on the Zen 4 tech as some of them are based on Zen 3 and Zen 2 also.

To find out the architecture of the processors, you just simply need to have a look at the third digit of the number. For example, the Zen 4 processors are denoted as 7940, Zen 3 as 7735, and Zen 2 as 7020. The main focus behind the development of these processors is that they can deliver better speed and higher TDP.

The main highlight of the launch event was the Ryzen 7045HX series, mobile processors. The high variant of the series, the 16-core Ryzen 9 7945HX mobile processor, has 32 threads and a TDP of 55 to 75W. The frequency of the same ranges between 2.2GHz to 5.4GHz along with a total of 80MB cache.

No doubt AMD is working on getting an upper hand over Intel’s latest processor range. It has already been revealed that the Alienware m16 and m18 laptops will ship with the Ryzen 7045HX processor. Apart from that, we can also get to see the same processor range in Asus ROG Strix and Lenovo Legion laptop series. Expectations are that the latest Ryzen processors will make their way to the market by February.
