AMD Ryzen 3000XT, Processors Announced alongside new Radeon GPU

AMD Ryzen 3000 series has been unveiled on Tuesday. Not just Ryezen CPUs, AMD also took the wraps off a new GPU, motherboard platform, and a new storage solution which are expected to hit stores in the coming months.

New Ryzen 3000 XT Series

The new CPU from AMD is based on 7nm fabrication technology process designs to deliver performance improvements offer existing Ryzen 3000 processors. The new 3000XT CPUs are also compatible with existing AM4 motherboards. Under the Ryzen 3000XT series banner, AMD announced 3 new CPUs. As per the company, the new 3000XT series has up to 4 percent in single-treaded performance improvement over its Intel counterpart.

The Ryzen 9 3900XT is top of the line and comes with 12 cores and 24 threads. The 3900XT has a base clock speed of 3.8GHz, and can deliver boost speed of 4.7GHz. The Ryzen 7 3800XT, on the other hand, has 8 cores and 16 threads to deliver base clock speed of 3.9GHz and boost clock speed of 4.7GHz . As for power requirements, the Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 both are rated at 105W TDP.

Thre’s also Ryzen 5 3600XT is a which is said to have 6 core 12 thread CPU. The 3600XT has 3.8GHz base speed and 4.5GHz boost clock speeds.

Radeon Pro 5600M GPU

Processors weren’t the only thing that was unveiled. AMD also announced the new Radeon Pro 5600M GPU. The new GPU from AMD is developed on the latest RDNA Navi architecture and replaces older Vega models. The Radeon Pro 5600M will be offered with up to 8GB HBM2 memory.

As of now, only Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro. Apple is offering buyers to choose AMDRadeon Pro 5600M 8GB of HBM2 memory variant. Other manufacturers are yet to announce Radeon 5600M based laptop.
