Amazon Kindle Scribe goes official in the US market with Stylus

Amazon has announced a series of new products, including the brand new Amazon Kindle Scribe. The latest installment of Kindle comes with a pen and supports input for reading and writing too. The device made its entry into the global market via Amazon’s fall virtual event.

This product from the Kindle range will have a face-off against similar devices from other brands. Amazon offers a vast library of eBooks and an ecosystem that no other brand can easily get close to.

Amazon Kindle Scribe pricing and availability

Starting with availability, the it is not available in the Indian market until now. However, high chances are that Amazon will launch the same in India super soon as it has a large user base in the Indian market.

You can pre-order the Amazon Kindle Scribe in the United States of America at a price of $339, which converts to somewhere around Rs 27,728 in the Indian currency. The e-reader has three storage variants, including 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.

The regular model is coupled with the Amazon basic pen. You can go for the Amazon Premium Pen which offers a better stylus with the reader and shortcut button at a price of $369, which is Rs 30,182.

Amazon Kindle Scribe features and specs

The Amazon Kindle Scribe ships with a 10.2-inch 300ppi Paperwhite display, and the design of the same is highly inspired by the Kindle Oasis. The reader has a large bezel which makes it comfortable to hold it.

The device can be said to be a bit heavy, though, as it weighs around 433 grams. The pen offered alongside the reader stick to its side magnetically. You are not even supposed to charge the stylus as it is based on Electromagnetic Resistance (EMR).

The introduction of stylus support is going to make the reading experience more convenient for the customers. The pen helps you in creating to-do lists, make notes, and highlight different sections in a novel.

The Kindle Scribe also supports the send to Kindle feature that lets you transfer PDF or Word files from your computer to the reader. As claimed by Amazon, the battery of Kindle Scribe can go on for 12 weeks once charged completely. It supports 9W USB-C charging and can get fully fueled up to 2.5 hours.
