Amazon has announced two new additions to its Kindle Devices series- All-New Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. The two models are mostly identical with the signature version having some added features. The Signature Edition is a special edition as it has been launched for first time in India.

We have a brighter display, enhanced battery performance, and a compact waterproof design in Kindle Paperwhite Next Generation launched today. Customers can instantly access millions of eBooks on the Kindle Store, and immerse themselves in the delightful reading experience,” said Parag Gupta, Head of Amazon Devices India.

Kindle Paperwhite and Paperwhite Signature- Price & Availability
The All-New Kindle Paperwhite edition has been launched for Rs. 13,999 for the single 8GB variant in India. It can be pre-ordered today on amazon, while its shipping will begin from October 27.
This Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition has been launched for Rs. 17,999 for the lone 32GB variant. It can also be pre-ordered today and its shipping will begin from November 3 as informed by the company. Both the devices will be available in Black color.
Amazon is also offering to redeem Kindle credits worth Rs 500 on pre-ordering these devices. These credits can be used to purchase eBooks at up to 80% of the book price.
All-New Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Specs
The All-New Kindle Paperwhite comes with a 6.8-inch screen display (largest device on Kindle till date) with thin bezels of 10mm around the corners and a pixel density of 300ppi. It has a glare-free display that claims to feel like real paper even in bright sunlight. The display offers 10% additional brightness at the maximum setting to ensure an even more comfortable reading experience. Kindle Paperwhite comes with an adjustable warm light (to be easy on the eyes) and up to 10 weeks of battery life on a single charge along with 20% faster page turns.
Also, you get access to over 2 million books for free through Kindle Unlimited Book Store. It has an updated UI with easier switching between the home screen, library, and your current book while the updated library has new filters and sorting options, a new collection view, and an interactive scroll bar. It can be paired with the help of an IOS or Android smartphone running the Kindle App. This makes the setup even easier.

It has a wireless charging feature, which is the first in any Kindle Device. The auto-adjusting front light is supposed to adjust the brightness of the display based on the lighting around for comfortable reading in all conditions, whether day or night. It comes with fast charging that takes around 2.5 hours to fully recharge the device.
