Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K now available for purchase on Amazon India

Amazon had already announced that it will be bringing its new Amazon Firestick 4K streaming dongle to India this month. The streaming device is now available for purchase today. This new firestick is for those people who own high-resolution displays and wish to enjoy their content in the best possible resolution.

Since Chromecast 4K is still not available in India, the Fire TV Stick is the only option that makes sense for anyone who needs to stream 4K content.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Features

This new firestick supports 4K resolution streaming at 60fps. It also comes with several elaborate features such as Dolby Vision HDR, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos surround sound. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT8695 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz that is bundled with IMG GE8300 GPU and a new media decoding engine. It further houses a RAM of 1.5GB and holds a storage capacity of 8GB.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K works with HDMI 2.0b output and continues to use a micro-USB 2.0 port for power. This new dongle supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0. This streaming player comes with a brand new Alexa powered Voice Remote that has dedicated power volume and mute buttons. You can use Alexa on this FireTV to do various tasks such as viewing live camera feeds, controlling lights, plugs and other smart home devices. Apart from these, it can do the usual playing music, movies and checking the weather stuff as well.

This firestick supports streaming from almost all major content providers like prime video, ZEE 5, hotstar, voot, Netflix, viu, SonyLIV and ErosNow. Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K has been priced at Rs 5,999 and its shipping will start from today. The standalone Alexa remote control can also be purchased for Rs.1,999.
