Got the replacement... finally
Well first of all this is not a product review.. I Ordered on Flipkart from seller:Kharidiye. Received a used opened iPad 16GB. So same day asked for an exchange. My first request to exchange the faulty product was rejected. I again wrote to Flipkart and Kharidiye threatening to take action against this injustice. It took them 7days to finally intimate me that they would give me a new piece. I am happy with the replaced iPad, it is in perfect condition. I just hope Flipkart can improve their Customer Service team which handles these return/exchange formalities. The process takes quite long and I have had a couple of sleepless nights due to the lazy attitude in which they conducted this exchange. Anyways all is well that ends well I guess. But I will think twice about buying an expensive product from Flipkart again.

I am neither and Apple nor Android fanboy. I own a Galaxy Note (1) and iPad 3 and know that both devices have their pros and cons. I love and appreciate good technology and ain't no sheep. PROS - 1. First things first, iOS 7 is pretty smooth on iPad 3 (though I've experienced some glitches and iOS 6 is still the best for me). 2. The loud speaker quality is superb with some bass in it. 3. The LCD screen is gorgeous with that high resolution and 4:3 aspect aspect ratio is great for web browsing. 4. The interface is so simple that even your grandmom could use it. 5. The aluminium build exudes quality and class. 6. The battery life is 10+ hours which is great. 7. Games run super smooth and lag-free. 8. Tons of iPad optimised apps and games in app store which is a great thing since they utilise the beautiful screen perfectly. 9. Four finger swipe gentures are very intuitive. 10. Control center is a relief (though heavily inspired by Android's notification drawer). CONS - 1. Uploading content via iTunes is so rudimentary and painful. 2. You can download only photos from the browser. Songs, videos, PDF files CANNOT be downloaded from the net directly to the device which is shameful for a device so capable! 3. On-device file management is very poor. You cannot move photos, only copy is allowed. Once a parent folder is deleted, the copied photos present in any other folder will also be deleted. You cannot check the resolution of photos or exif data. 4. You cannot create new folder for songs, you cannot move songs to other folder. iTunes is needed for all this which is so lame. 5. The look of iOS 7 is cartoonish. iOS 6 was so mature. Though this is just my personal opinion and many people actually love the new look (may be they got bored of iOS 6). 6. No expandable memory and Apple is charging a ridiculous premium for the 32 GB version which is utterly stupid. 7. Does not support MKV files. Very poor codec support. I threw many MP4 files at it and it refused to play some of them. 8. No customizable equalizer. 9. Its a little heavy so better get a Belkin Cinema Folio case for it. 10. No support for torrent downloading. 11. No bluetooth file transfer and no Wifi-Direct file transfers. Seriously Apple?? 12. Highly dependant upon a PC or Laptop. I would recommend this to people who just want a great and beautiful device for surfing, e-book reading and casual gaming. If you are too much into movies or laptop replacement then I would suggest you go for the more expensive Galaxy Tab 10.1 2014 Edition. It is fast and beautiful, has expandable memory, has a great file management, has that extremely creative S-Pen, screen is gorgeous with a resolution higher than the iPad. It also supports downloading of any file from the internet as well as torrents. You may call me a power user but I believe that technology is supposed to save your time and make your life easy. I love how Apple has made a great device but loathe them for skipping on some very simple and useful features. I am deducting one star just for that. If you don't want the pile of features and overloads offered by Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition then simply go for the much cheaper iPad. It will serve you well :)
