The same chipset is being used by Motorola in its popular phone Moto G 3rd Generation, which cost almost double the Redmi 2 Prime. Presence of Adreno 306 comes in handy for taking care of graphic requirements. The phone boasts 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB. In our assessment trial, phone handled games like GT racing 2 without a flutter. Camera: The Chinese device maker has placed an 8-megapixel camera on the back of the phone. Images captured from the rear camera appear to portray accurate colours in properly illuminated surroundings. What didn’t impress us about the camera is its indoor or low light performance. The indoor image have a slight bluish tint and some gains. Overall, the camera is decent when we place it amongst the phones under 10,000 INR. Battery and connectivity: Since India is slowly but steadily moving towards high-speed internet, Xaiomi has ensured Redmi 2 Prime is 4G enabled and supports Indian LTE bands.
