It sometimes makes sense to start big and go smaller. In all honesty, their top Android phone doesnt quite stand up to the most recent competition. But since the original XPERIA X10, Sony Ericsson have been narrowing their focus trying to make a difference. And in the end, the X8 and the two mini droids may pay off better than the flagship.
The X10 mini pro is perhaps the smallest smartphone / QWERTY messenger but by no means a lesser smartphone package than most. read more →
- Ultra compact body
- Physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, 3G with HSPA
- Customized Android OS v1.6 with Timescape UI
- 2.55" capacitive touchscreen of QVGA resolution
- QVGA resolution doesnt do Android graphics justice and limits the number of compatible apps
- Dated OS version
- Limited Android homescreen functionality
- No alternative battery covers bundled
- No smart dialing
The X10 Mini and Mini Pro turn out to be a couple of uniquely loveable Android phones. Despite the smaller screens, SE has done a pretty good job at optimizing the interface for the two phones, and we've had little frustration with them except for the few missing apps. As for which of the two to go after, we'd go for the Pro without hesitation -- sure, it's a tad heavier, thicker and more expensive, but we'd kill for a QWERTY keyboard any day. read more →
- Great camera
- Impressive battery life
- Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- No 720p camcorder
- Low screen resolution
- Bulky
It is what it is – the very same impressive Android-powered phone as the super little Xperia X10 Mini, only with a well-made QWERTY keyboard underneath it.
The phone itself is much more powerful and responsive than any of the other phones in its entry-level price bracket, so much so that comparing this with the similarly price Vodafone 845 feels quite wrong. The X10 Mini Pro is streets ahead of it. read more →

Voice quality with incoming calls was good, and the volume was adequate. On the other end of the lineIn, however, clarity was much worse, and the other party said our voice was muffled and unclear, although the volume stayed decent. The battery of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro is rated at the paltry 3.5 hours of talk time in 3G mode, and 15 days of standby. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro takes all that makes the X10 mini such an intriguing handset, and makes it better. read more →
- Physical QWERTY keyboard
- Nice design with chrome accents
- Good pictures and video
- Great loudspeaker
- Keys on the physical keyboard feel cramped
- Handset is on the thick side
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro is still too small for a full-fledged Android smartphone, but the added physical keyboard greatly improves usability. read more →
- The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro offers a lot of features for its size. It has an attractive user interface and a comfortable keyboard.
- The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro lacks camera-editing options, and its small size can hamper usability. It's stuck on Android 1.6, and its volume level is rather low.
The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro battery backup was not good, and also lacks camera-editing options, and its small size can hamper usability.
THE WORST XPERIA EVER MADE.
I'VE TRIED IT, THE QWERTY KEYBOARD DOESN'T LAST LONG, THE PHONE IS SMALL, QWERTY KEYBOARD KEYS ARE SO SMALL AND HARD TO TYPE.
NOT THE PHONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY.
