Samsung S7230E Wave 723 review: Waving Hello!

Okay, back to shore  we had a fun time cruising with the Samsung S7230E Wave 723. Lets get the negative impressions out of the way first  there is only a couple of those.

The video camera was another disappointment, but that was to be expected as good video recording is rarely found in the mid-range. The poor Flash performance in the browser was another thing we saw coming  its hardly a surprise on a midrange mobile devices. read more →

Samsung's second Bada handset demonstrates that less is definitely less

The Samsung Wave 723 is a fair enough handset, with a good-looking user interface and some nice features. But underneath all that lies an operating system that is not easily expanded with third-party applications.

As it stands at the moment, we have to wonder who would choose Bada over Android or Apple? The £200 mark is arguably the most competitive in the whole smartphone sector and Samsung needs to work harder on Bada to make it a success against very hot competition. read more →

Samsung Wave 723 Review

Samsung has created a pretty compelling mid-rangе bada device with the Samsung Wave 723. Some elements like web browsing and stability are still rough around the edges in Samsung's mobile OS, but it shows good promise. If only Samsung could speed up applications development, it will have decent alternative to the major mobile operating systems in the low- to mid-range smartphones, where bada was intended for. read more →

  • Solid design
  • Very good picture quality
  • Picture and video editing come standard
  • The default leather cover gets in the way
  • Display resolution is rather low

Samsung Wave 723 review

A bare-bones smartphone, the Samsung Wave 723’s biggest problem is a question of timing. It’s available for free on cheap contracts, but so are plenty of arguably more attractive budget Androids like the HTC Wildfire and Orange San Francisco, while the original and far superior Samsung Wave isn’t lagging far behind price-wise either. read more →

  • Accessible OS
  • Bundled with flip case
  • Physical camera button
  • Low-resolution screen
  • Limited app support

Samsung Wave 723

With one fairly impressive Bada phone out of the gate, it hasn't taken Samsung long to follow up with its second budget-conscious smartphone. read more →
