Samsung B7722 review: Double the action

The Samsung B7722 certainly is worth a look. But is it worth your time and money? To begin with, if dual SIM service is a must youre given a limited choice already. There are people out there who would swear dual SIM phones are the best this industry has ever come up with. But dual SIM phones will never be mass market.

That takes us to the question of price. The B7722 has nearly all we would normally expect in that price range. read more →

  • Dual-SIM dual standby quad-band GSM/EDGE support
  • Single-band 3G with HSDPA (SIM 1 only)
  • TouchWiz UI
  • 5 megapixel autofocus camera and QVGA@30fps video
  • Quite pricey
  • Memory management issues
  • Poor screen sunlight legibility
  • Smudge-prone back and front panels
  • No standard 3.5mm audio jack

Samsung B7722 Review

As a phone the handset operates decently, the earpiece is powered well, and we were hearing the voices loud and with low ambient noise, but sounding a little flat. The other party said we sound a bit quiet and the voice quality was subpar. The loudspeaker's volume is high, while the supplied headset provides decent sound, but connects via the microUSB port, instead of a standard 3.5mm audio jack. One of the advantages of having a feature phone is usually the extended battery life compared to a smartphone, and the Samsung B7722 is rated for the respectable 13hrs of talk, and 17 days of standby. read more →

  • Dual-SIM/dual-standby handset
  • Dedicated button for toggling between SIM cards
  • Expensive
  • Only one of the SIM cards can use 3G
  • Samsung's Dolphin browser is slow and outdated

Not a Value-for-Money phone

It was good phone when it launched but after the advent of Android, Bada OS is no more fun to use. Otherwise the hardware is very fine. But after some months when you start the camera it gives a message 'Camera failed'.

  • Sound
  • Camera Quality
  • Supports Java Apps
  • Internet browser doesn't loads large webpages
  • Doesn't supports 3.5mm jack for headsets
  • Touch (resistive)
  • Bad Multi-tasking
  • RAM
  • Bada OS (too sluggish)
