Chinese manufacturer Oppo is slowly but steadily expanding its base in India. This late entrant in Indian market has seen success in its mainland China though and is rapidly expanding its global footprint. Oppo R7s launch in Dubai provides another opportunity to strengthen its global base. We do expect Oppo 7s to hit Indian shores eventually. Here’re our thoughts about Oppo R7: its features and specifications. Oppo R7 is design centric mid-budget phone. It is much more urbane version of its paper-thin R5. This metal–clad 5.5-inch phablet flaunts a stunning 1080P AMOLED screen which is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Display renders vibrant color and sharp images, thanks to high pixel density (401ppi). The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) SoC, which is assisted by 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the phone has 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with the support of microSD card. For the photography purpose, Oppo has placed a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP secondary shooter for selfie lovers. The camera application offers options like face detection, Geo tagging, touch to focus, and is capable of shooting 1080P videos at will. The new smartphone runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Dual SIM device also supports Indian LTE bands. The device is packed with a 3,070 mAh battery with support for VOOC rapid charging capability. Oppo R7s is yet to hit retail shelves in India. We expect lowest price of Oppo R7s should be around Rs. 26,990. There is no official word regarding when you can buy Oppo R7S online in India.
