To begin with the upgrader's point of view, we'd say a jump from E65 to the E66 is totally worth it. The phone has improved in nearly every area compared to its predecessor and addresses most of its issues. The price tag is still slightly on the steep side but we guess it will be a great bargain in no time. And even as it stands now, the Nokia E66 still is a great purchase.
In general, Nokia E66 is as good for business as its QWERTY peer. read more →
- Quad-band GSM support
- 3G with HSDPA 3.6Mbps
- 2.4" 16M-color display of QVGA resolution
- Shortcut keys mean business
- Symbian 9.2 OS, S60 UI with FP1 (topped with some FP2 goodies)
- Average camera performance
- Video recording maxes out at QVGA@15fps
- No camera geotagging
- Cheap-looking power key
- Office document editing not available
The E66 is a tremendous business tool that does everything it's supposed to easily and efficiently, without you having to put too much effort into figuring out how it does it.
It's fully connected, comes with a bunch of useful free apps including Nokia Maps and even if the fun options like its 3.2-megapixel camera and music player aren't the best available, they're more than good enough to brighten the busy working day. read more →
- Stylish slider
- 3.2 megapixel camera
- Symbian S60 smartphone operating system
- A-GPS
- 2GB microSD card with maps
- No 3.5mm headphone jack
In the end, we’re pleased by the Nokia E66 and we like it, but we think that ladies would value it more than men would. To be honest, we prefer the E71, since it features a full QWERTY keyboard, which makes communication easier. Besides, it follows the same design philosophy and offers almost the same functionality. But this is, of course, our opinion and don’t forget that every person has different needs and taste. read more →
- Solid build and beautiful design
- A very good display
- Usable improvements of the interface
- Sound quality during a call could be better
- The bottom row of the keypad is unhandy to press
- You have to pay an additional tax, in order to support Office 2007 documents
- The camera is performing poorly and the barcode reader doesn’t work
While we like the E71 better, the E66 is a great smart phone with class-leading features. If you want the functionality of a business phone without the bulk of a PDA form factor, the E66 is the phone you've been looking for. read more →
