Whether you call Nokia E63 the economy package - or stimulus package, in the jargon of the day - you're looking at a capable business device. It brings the essential skills of the E71, and only sacrifices looks to round off that sweetly trimmed price tag. The lacking GPS comes closest to but still can't be a definite no-go. Even without it, the E63 is a strong enough offer to consider.
Besides, the E63 is not all about downgrading the E71. read more →
- Quad-band GSM support
- 3G support
- Landscape 2.36" 16M-color display of QVGA resolution
- Symbian 9.2 OS, S60 UI with FP1 (sprinkled with some FP2)
- 369 MHz ARM 11 CPU and 128 MB of SDRAM
- Poor camera performance
- Video recording maxes out at QVGA@15fps
- No GPS
- No RDS in the FM radio
- 3.5mm jack protective bud is not attached to the body
The E63 cuts a few corners on its predecessor's offering, but aside from the relatively poor camera, and the lack of GPS, there's nothing major missing. If you can't quite stretch to the E71, and want a worthy alternative to a BlackBerry, look no further. read more →
- QWERTY keyboard
- Easy email set-up
- 16 milion-colour screen
- FM radio
- 3G
- No GPS
- Camera only 2 megapixels
- No data cable supplied
- No MicroSD card supplied
To tell you the truth we were a bit prejudiced about the E63, since it is basically a simplified version of the E71. Still, targeted at the social crowd, doesn’t disappoint us and although the plastic body its quality is quite high. The only functional change is the lack of a GPS for navigation, and the worse camera is completely acceptable, since that of the E71 isn’t really any better. read more →
- A Good keyboard in a compact body
- A 3.5mm jack
- Nicely built
- The functional buttons are small
- Poor camera
The Nokia E63 offers a more wallet-friendly price tag compared with other unlocked smartphones and does so without sacrificing too many features; we just we wish the call quality and camera were better. read more →
- The sleek Nokia E63 offers a full QWERTY keyboard and full e-mail capabilities. The Symbian smartphone has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G support. It's also one of the more affordably priced unlocked phones.
- The smartphone lacks integrated GPS, and call quality could be better. The camera doesn't produce the best pictures, and there's no side-mounted volume rocker.
The Nokia E63 is a good phone that delivers a competent texting and email experience, but its E71 predecessor is better, offering more features and greater finesse. If you want a smartphone that stands out from the crowd, however, the colorful E63 is worth checking out. Overall, we enjoyed using the Nokia E63, particularly for writing texts and sending emails, but it just doesn't feel as special as the E71, partly due to its thicker design and plastic casing. read more →
- QWERTY keypad
- Wi-Fi.
- Lack of HSDPA and GPS.
Good phone. It has everything leaving good camera else it is very nice.
- It has reaplayer, printer, Office editor, dictionary many more tools which always useful.
- Only camera is the bad point else is Ok.
- Deleting or marking things simultaneously is very difficult.
