Nokia 500 review: In search of Anna

Nokia 500 left us with mixed feelings. The spotty web browser and the poor camera performance left a bitter taste and we found it hard to describe the UI as fluid or responsive. In fact, more often than not it was downright laggy.

Even the free lifetime turn-by-turn navigation and the brightly colored exchangeable rear covers didnt make up for the poor impression. read more →

Nokia 500 Review

Overall, the world’s largest phone maker by volume has trimmed specs from the right places to arrive to its new entry-level Symbian star, the Nokia 500. The lack of LED flash and the basic video capture capabilities of the 5MP camera module seem to be the main victims that fell in the quest for a low-end pricing. Others, like less RAM and smaller battery we can live with, as they don’t affect usability that much – besides, the update to Symbian Belle will speed the interface up significantly. read more →

Nokia 500

The Nokia 500 isn't the big daddy of Nokia's 2011 portfolio, but, if the price is right, the 500 could find its way into a number of pockets and purses.
