Moto X (2014) Review: Finally, a true Motorola flagship

It's hard not to be impressed with the new Moto X. Its predecessor built a solid reputation among those "in the know" for its clean Android build and useful features, but its plastic casing and underwhelming display left it overshadowed on store shelves by rival devices.

Motorola has addressed nearly every criticism for its 2014 flagship. The new Moto X is perhaps the best feeling Android handset in the hand - it's certainly the most customizable - and it has a fantastic display, excellent performance, and a restrained selection of software enhancements that actually manage to improve your day to day time with the phone. read more →

Motorola Moto X (2014) review

The Moto X is a fantastic Android device, possibly one the best out there at the minute. It’s clear so much time has gone into creating a phone that not only performs admirably, yet that’s also a pleasure to use and even to hold in your hand. The plethora of customisation options are a nice addition too, letting you create a device that is truly yours.

We respect Motorola a lot for sticking with stock Android, ditching those slow skins and promising a quick update when Android 5.0 Lollipop hits. read more →

  • Fantastic build and feel
  • Moto Maker
  • Moto Display
  • Far from excellent camera
  • Battery life could be better

Motorola Moto X (2014) review: An uncluttered Android marvel

The Motorola Moto X is an appealing proposition. It offers great value for money as a flagship handset and even if you opt to customise with a leather or other finish using Moto Maker, you'll still be getting something more affordable than rivals - and something personal to you.Offering a near-stock Android experience, those who want to avoid the bloatware of many manufacturers will love the Moto X's offering. read more →

  • Great value,
  • Decent front speakers,
  • Moto Maker customisation options,
  • Free of clutter,
  • Early Android updates
  • No microSD card slot,
  • camera not so good

The best phone in its category.

Motorola dropped the price to 17999 and it outnumbers all other phones in its category.
Please don't get confused by the fact that it has a Dual Core processor. This phone actually has 2 processors (a dedicated processor for touchless control).
The 4.7" Screen is perfect and has no handling issues. Fits in the pocket and is absurdly huge.

  • AMOLED Screen (always better than LCD)
  • Camera works good after the new updates
  • Android L (5.0) update coming soon
  • NFC
  • 4.7" Screen
  • Touchless Control
  • Active Display
  • Sharp Screen ~312 PPI
  • Comparatively poor battery life.
