The Motorola Charm is a compact, socially alert Android phone that's let down by insufficient screen resolution and sluggish performance. read more →
- Slim and lightweight
- MotoBlur is useful
- Runs Android 2.1, complete with free voice navigation
- Voice dialing over Bluetooth.
Well it's about time that we find someone brave enough to venture with something different in terms of form factor with Android – even more when landscape QWERTY handsets are abundant. The Motorola CHARM is actually a well-rounded device that refreshes the usual set of Android phones we're typically presented with. When it's priced at $79.99 on-contract, it makes for a decent offering when you factor in its rare portrait style QWERTY, inclusion of Android 2.1, and its quality construction. read more →
- Fantastic QWERTY
- Solid construction
- Two batteries
- QVGA display
- Inferior producing camera
- Orientation issues with certain apps
The Motorola Charm is an affordable entry-level Android 2.1 smartphone that should please users who are primarily texters. At S$499 without a contract, the Motorola Charm costs slightly more than competing Android 2.1 entry-level devices , but it's the only one with a physical keyboard (aside from the Flipout). Ultimately, what we have here are two near identical devices from Motorola, the Flipout and Charm. read more →
- Relatively slim and portable
- roomy keyboard
- runs on Android 2.1
- Wi-Fi, HSDPA and GPS connectivity
- seamless wireless connection with a computer via Phone Portal.
- Small, low-resolution touchscreen only for basic uses
- some apps aren't written to run on landscape screens
- below-average photo quality.
This affordable Android phone has a cute design and a good physical keyboard but it's lack of speed and low-res screen are turn-offs.
We think a lot of messaging fiends will appreciate the Motorola's Charm's unique design. It's nice to be able to fire off e-mails and texts without having to slide a keyboard down or rely on a touch keyboard. However, the Charm's low-res screen and sluggish processor can't handle everything Motoblur tries to do, let alone Android. read more →

Recommended for those who are looking for a budget android plus qwerty phone. Camera lovers, stay a bay. Music is great. Root will be required if you want more apps on the device. Never lags response.
