Micromax recently added a couple more smartphones to its unite series portfolio, the Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro. The latter leads the pack, and will be exclusively available on Snapdeal for 7,499 INR. As far as design goes, the Unite 4 reflects Micromax's new avatar, the Micromax 3.0. Its still plastic, but press renders do point to a refreshed design, unlike what we usually see from the domestic manufacturer's stable. On the inside, the Unite 4 Pro is powered by an entry level 1.3GHz Spreadtrum processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. For photography, there is an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front selfie shooter. The 5-inch IPS display features 720p HD resolution and is powered by a 3900 mAh battery. The handset also includes a Fingerprint scanners and dual SIM card support. On the software front, Unite 4 Pro is running Android Lollipop out of the box like most other budget smartphones. The software has a customized Indus OS skin on top, and the USP of the package is support for 12 regional languages. You can seamlessly translate into different Indic languages within different system apps. Micromax believes this will help with better adoption on grass root level. Text to speech technology is present for 6 Indian languages. Another software feature is App Bazar, which lets user pay for apps without credit cards and email IDs. Overall, the Micromax Unite 4 Pro is targeting people restricted by a language barrier. For everyone else, options like Lenovo Vibe K5 or Coolpad Note 3 Lite might make more sense.
