Consumer electronics giant LG has slowly and steadily build a reputation of being an innovative company. LG's consumer electronic products steeled the show at CES and now at MWC, the company is gearing up to showcase its brand new smartphone portfolio.
The upcoming LG G5 will have both - a dual camera and dual screen. The LG X Cam and LG X Screen, on the other hand, will transfer these innovations to mid range buyers one at a at time. That is to say, the LG X Cam will flaunt an extra camera on the back and the X Screen will have an extra ticker display on top just like LG V10.
LG X Cam won't be the first phone to sport a dual camera set-up. We have seen that in many devices starting from HTC One M8, and in almost all of them (Qiku Q Tera being an exception) the second cam has always been used as depth sensor. LG hasn't yet revealed how it implements the dual 13MP and 5MP camera sensor, but it does promises unmatched camera experience compared to all mid-range smartphones.
Besides the camera setup, other hardware is pretty good too. The in-cell IPS LCD display is 5.2 inches in size and features full HD resolution. The handset is powered by 1.14GHz Octa-Core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and is running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It's quite slim at 6.9 mm and weighs just 118 grams.
Other features include 8MP front camera, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC (depending on market) and 2520 mAh battery. LG X Cam price in India is expected to be around 19,000 INR. The lowest price of LG X Cam will be revealed once the handset goes official in India. We will update you with more information regarding where you can buy LG X Cam in India after official launch.
