LG G3 review: Dream catcher

The LG G3 enters with a bang. And another important aspect of timing is not to be underplayed either. It was about time LG got over a fixation on matching and beating Samsung at any rate. That's to say, if they had to choose between a fingerprint scanner in a waterproof body and a QHD screen - they made the right decision we think. A welcome emancipation, matched by beautiful design and advanced technology. Stuff flagships are made of. read more →

  • The display is very crisp and with ultra-wide viewing angles, but not too great when it comes to contrast or sunlight legibility
  • The battery life is great, especially considering the high-res display
  • The audio output is spectacularly clean
  • The benchmark performance is below other top flagships
  • The still camera is one of the best around, and HDR makes it even better
  • No IP-certified dust or water resistance
  • No microUSB 3.0 port

LG G3 review: the company's best phone yet

I'll admit, when I first laid hands on the G3, I wasn't sure. I wanted it to be metal (as it appeared to be), but it wasn't. I wanted it to be a bit smaller and more like the Nexus 5, but it wasn't. I didn't think I'd like the rear placement of the buttons, and I don't.

But, like two cops with different ideologies forced to work together on a crime, before long, these perceived negatives turned out to be charming qualities. read more →

LG G3 Review

The LG G3 is a remarkable Android smartphone, there's no doubt about that. It's probably the most technologically-advanced smartphone at this point, which alone is a great achievement. The question is, does it come off as an offering that's well-rounded enough in order to become a best-seller in this highly-competitive market? read more →

LG G3 review: The perfect flagship phone for early adopters

In the G3, LG finally has something worthy to challenge its Korean rival with, and given a choice between the S5 and the G3, my bet would likely be on the latter right now. Against the Samsung Galaxy S5, the G3's design shines and it has what I feel is a clearly better UI. The software features make the G3 more fun and convenient to use, while LG has added features to the G3, such as a microSD slot and a removable battery, that the G2 lacked and that Samsung had in its phones already.

The G3 is the perfect new gadget for "early adopter" types who want the latest and greatest. read more →

  • LG G3 has solid call quality.
  • A brilliantly sharp display, a snappy quad-core processor
  • The new G3 comes with a removable battery and microSD card slot, both things the G2 lacked.
  • A flat UI that makes Android 4.4 look good.
  • New QHD display is quite a power hog.
  • Phone will barely last you a day without a charge.

LG G3 Review

There's no reason why LG shouldn't be running with the pack with their G-series smartphones with HTC, Samsung, and Apple in the United States. Unfortunate for them, Samsung has the advertising finesse required to show themselves off as the fine-quality hardware creators they are, while LG seems to stand by the wayside.

But listen up, if you need motivation: LG makes an extremely fine phone. read more →
