It's been a long time since we last saw a phone exclusively targeted at women. Was the Nokia 6600 fold or the Samsung Diva the last ones?
Speaking of which, the HTC Rhyme is not an Android - it's more like a Fembot. On a serious note, HTC don't like to call it a smartphone, let alone mention Android anywhere in the conversation. However women are clearly the HTC Rhyme's demographic whether HTC admits it or not. read more →

- 14.4 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA
- 3.7" 16M-color capacitive S-LCD touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels)
- Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.5
- 1 GHz single Scorpion CPUs, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset
- Average display
- Non-user-replaceable battery
- No dedicated camera key
- Pricey for a single-core smartphone (generously accessorized though)
- Wi-Fi death grip issues
This mid-range phone and subpar accessories are hardly enough to keep up the modern, multitasking woman -- even if it is purple. read more →
- Beautiful hardware
- Good battery life
- Useful camera effects
- Too much Verizon bloatware
- Middling specs for a $200 handset
- Poorly made accessories
The HTC Rhyme is a comfortable, capable Android smartphone that comes with a nice bundle of accessories, but is held back by a lack of 4G and midrange specs. read more →
- Comfortable to hold and use
- Nice screen
- Great battery life
- Bundled charm, dock, and earphones work well.
- No 4G
- Purple color isn't for everyone
- Midrange specs.
While the HTC Rhyme is a stylish version of a phone that's already great in its own right, this mid-range smartphone doesn't bring anything new to the table except a few fancy accessories - but will attract those stylistas looking for something that isn't yet another iPhone clone. read more →
- HTC Sense 3.5 upgrade
- Deep purple colour/fresh update
- Solid build
- Speaker dock and light charm are useful
- 8GB microSD included
- Battery isn't removable
- Purple update of the HTC Desire S
- Only single core CPU
- Headphones didn't stay in ears properly
- Average to middling battery power
If you like the plum color, then you should take a look at the HTC Rhyme , as it offers a lot, including the new HTC Sense 3.5 interface, 5MP camera, good call quality and battery life. But we can’t help but think that some people will be turned-off by the plum color, and would not consider the Rhyme because of it, despite it being a good phone otherwise. Because of this, it would be nice if the Rhyme were available in a few other color choices to appeal to a broader audience. read more →
