The HTC HD mini is pretty much what a modern-day smartphone should be all about. We are not talking the ultimate of technology, a ridiculously expensive piece of gear to flash around and impress everyone around. We mean a handy working tool that can also keep you entertained.
Sense UI has done well to cover the WinMo user interface shortcomings and the capacitive multi-touch display adds value to the whole package. read more →
- 3.2" 65K-color HVGA capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch input
- Compact body and bold industrial design
- Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional OS with Sense UI
- Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz CPU and 384MB RAM
- Quad-band GSM support with dual-band HSDPA 7.2Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps
- Poor display sunlight legibility
- No dedicated camera key and no lens cover
- Card slot under the battery cover
- No DivX/XviD video support out-of-the-box
- Preloaded CoPilot Live navigation software is a trial version only
To conclude, if you take the time to train up your non-techy friends on how to use this phone, they'll most definitely thank you for it. This is because the Mini truly is a smartphone and it truly advances functionality and utility beyond the feature handset division, but for the love of all that's holy in tech -- don't let them see the real HD2. Just keep them away from those top-tier devices and their ludicrous speed and size, and you'll have a very satisfied friend / customer / parent on your hands. read more →
- Excellent camera and album for casual pics
- Sense makes up for a lot of WinMo's foibles
- Effortless email and social networking setup
- Fiddly back cover and no hard camera button
- Browsers have rendering issues
- Better alternatives exist costing not much more
We liked the HTC HD Mini far more than we expected to, and it has proved that Windows Mobile can't be written off just yet. After using the HD Mini for a while, devices like the Apple iPhone 3GS and HTC Desire just feel huge in the hand, and for many, size does matter.
The overall design of the phone is sleek, stylish and minimalist, with the yellow internals bringing some colour to the equation. Basically, it feels like a well designed, well built, high quality phone, in the same way that the Nokia X6 doesn't. read more →
- Compact form factor
- Great battery life
- Packed with features
- Wi-Fi router option
- High quality, multi-touch screen
- It's still Windows Mobile underneath
- Browser navigation is temperamental
- No camera flash
- Poor app support
Getting right to the point, we should say the HTC HD mini is not a great phone. Incoming loudness is fine, but voices tend to lack any natural sounding. Our callers found the volume on their side to be a bit low, with our words not being the easiest to comprehend. Then again, there aren't a lot of smartphones, which actually manage to surprise us pleasantly in this area. The manufacturer estimates that the battery of the HTC HD mini should be able to keep the phone up and running for about 7.25 hours of talk time and 340 hours (14 days) of stand-by. read more →
- Compact size
- Makes WM easy to use
- Capacitive screen with multitouch
- Solid construction
- Unsatisfying call quality
- No out-of-the-box support for many codecs
- Camera quality is below par
This WM6.5.3 smartphone fulfills basic smartphone needs well, but ought to have been positioned as an affordable alternative in light of competition from the iPhone and Android-based devices. If it isn't clear to you from our review so far, our verdict is that the HD mini is a decent phone. It does what it's supposed to pretty well, along with a few extras afforded by HTC's custom software. The HD2 was the company's flagship product and came with the best hardware and a massive 4.3-inch screen--factors that defined the handset. read more →

htc mobile have good mobile feature but compare to nokia mobile , there are so many option to uplad or update mobile device software.
now i m using HTc HD MiNi T5555 mobile but i dont know that how to update mobile software of my mobile and i found lots off but there i m always fail
- all featured latest software device phone
- low network connecton
- low speed
- lack of software
- phone getting hang whn software installed
HTC MINI HD T5555 is not a phone or not Camera Phone or even not a mobile phone... we must use this device as a PC as it display when this device is switched on QUIETLY BRILLIANT (and in spec it says POCKET PC) so... this is a handy Palm PC Windows OS with added features like Mobile, Camera, Wifi, router, works as modem, internet, ms office, GPS, explorer, Music,BT, etc., A BEAUTIFUL POCKET PC... I love this product.. This is Quitely Brilliant at the same time we must use this with an STABLE SPEED with STRONG SOFTWARE SUPPORT... normally a laptop support power back up maximum of 8 hours if you add extra power pack unit u will get extra time but this is a cute PC with 24 hours guaranteed power support while it connects direct SAT connection using GPS.. it may give you 6 to 12 hours.. which is quiet natural.. (if i am lost some where i could only depend on this device to search and identify my location which is worth)
