When the HTC Explorer was announced our first thought was "Nothing we haven't seen. Next one please" but we admit we were wrong. The 600MHz processor did much better than expected - the chipset is much better than what the Wildfire S had.
The rest of the package - both software and hardware - performed adequately as well. The HTC Explorer only disappointed us in two areas - retail box (be sure to bring your own microSD card and headset) and the camera. Still, those things were to be expected in an entry level device. read more →

The performance of the device manages to stay at par if not better than the existing competition from Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Where it holds high ground is in the build quality and the fact that the Sense UI is one of the best Android skins out there.
It isn't the best in its class and for a mere Rs. 4000 more you can get a better Android experience but if Rs.10,000 and thereabouts is your budget, do consider this device along with the HTC Wildfire S, Samsung Galaxy Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Ace. read more →
- Fantastic build
- HTC Sense UI
- Cute looks
- Android 3.0 Gingerbread OS
- Battery Life
- Apps tend to hang during multitasking
- Low internal storage
It's not really an object of desire, but as a solidly built and well equipped introduction to smartphones, the HTC Explorer could end up on an awful lot of shopping lists this year, and rightfully so. read more →
- Android on a budget
- sturdy case
- good battery life
- Modest spec
- camera quite poor
With its intuitive operating system skin, the HTC Explorer would make an excellent first smartphone. But it may not be as much of a treasure as first thought as it's not quite hitting the budget heights we thought it would - it needs to drop a few pounds per month to be a truly cheap-cheap handset. read more →

A very good phone just lacks in flash and front camera but otherwise good and handy to use.... I am myself using it..... Far more better than Samsung galaxy
i bought it yesterday & got earphone & 2 gb memory card free in the box, i became very happy after this i had planned to buy a htc earphone. phone is working very smoothly, camera is average & internal memory sometimes creates some problem but sd card fixes the issue very easily.
- internal memory
It is the worlds worst mobile at this price....since it has very low internal memory u can't install preferred apps...more over some times it says u have no sufficient storage even after deleting apps....
gprs very slow and mobil 1day 5 time reboot automatic
